Booky flow is a fork of the good old jomres.
It is based on jomres, and without any doubts we all thanks Vince for the great work he had accomplished before his decision to stop the developement of jomres by end 2024.
Several people joigned forces in a team to produce this jomres fork, such as to ensure long term continuity and support.
As this new version will progressively see some changes from the initial jomres, we have name it Bookyflow. Neverthelss we have keept the versions numbers, such as to show continuity with previous versions of jomres. This portal demo version is 11.0.3 and is running on joomla 5 and php8 without any major issue.
A single hotel demo site as well as quick install for both options ( portal and single hotel) will folllow in a later step.
The portal demo site is based on an existing online hotel booking site ( taking bookings, etc..) with the necessary changes to make it a portal exemple.
The live single property hotel was existing since long. It was regularly updated with the various versions of the jomres fork( BookyFlow). No major or critical issue have been detected.
To keep things simple, the standard joomla template, Cassiopeia, is used.
Bookyflow is connected to a licence server allowing to install it on joomla and to download and install the plugins.
Licences fees for support will be ranging from about 150€ till about 600€ per year, depending on the amount of plugins one want to install (single hotel, multiplatform, payment gateways, channel manager,etc....). Licence will be valid for one year.They will not be any lifetime licence.
Once the demo site is released we will work on producing a more comprehensive Q&A , Documentation, and Support, first in english and then in various languages.
Of course all these developments are depending upon the acceptance of the commuity and on selling support licences to finance the work.
